Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has given fans a sneak peak of how she may look on her wedding day this summer. The professional dancer was due to walk down the aisle in 2020, before Covid-19 forced her and fiancé Ben Jones to postpone their plans
Bride-to-be Amy Dowden has given fans an insight into what she will look like on her special day.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 31, took to Instagram on Tuesday, to share a stunning snap of herself in a gorgeous wedding dress.
However, the professional dancer won’t be walking down the aisle in the lace-detail creation shared with her 316 followers, as she’s keeping her actual wedding dress details ‘top secret’.
“Who else is getting married this year? Although I was supposed to get married 2020 and everything was organized and ready. Now it’s creeping up on me and I feel totally unorganized and panicking,” Amy penned to her followers in the caption of herself looking ready to say ‘I do’.
In the gorgeous snap, the Welsh star looked a vision in the stunning bridal gown – with a full face of make-up and her blonde hair tucked behind her ears.
She continued: “Not turned into bridezilla yet though. Btw this is not my wedding dress (keeping that top secret) but I loved my shoot day working with @lauramaybridal trying on so many of their beautiful dresses.
“I’m super excited but getting so nervous I’ve forgotten to do/plan/organise something!”
Amy is due to tie the know with fellow dancer Ben Jones in July, with the couple initially due to wed two years ago on July 25 2020 – before Covid-19 put a stop to their plans.
The star – who joined Strictly in 2017 – has been in a relationship with professional dancing partner Ben for a number of years.
The pair were once British National Latin Dance champions, becoming the first all-British duo to win the competition.
Ben popped the question to the blonde beauty on New Year’s Eve in 2007, and the dancing duo had planned to host their nupitals in 2020 – with fellow Strictly stars Diane Buswell and Oti Mabuse set to act as bridesmaids.
However, like many other couples across the world, their wedding plans had to be postponed when Covid-19 swept across the country and the government implemented restrictions preventing large gatherings.
Sharing a video on what would have been her wedding day in 2020, Amy reflected and told her fans: “So today should have been my last day as a Miss.
“Obviously it’s not, really few mixed emotions. I should be on my way now to the cottage with my bridesmaids and my family… spending the night together playing games and probably me being really nervous.
She thoughtfully added: “I would have been on his way to the other cottage… obviously we would have stayed apart! But I guess we have all this to come. Just remember safety is the most important thing and we still have a big day ahead “
